Nick Walking Away

Availability: Sold Out

Quick Overview

In 1967, during the recording of early tracks for his debut album ‘Five Leaves Left’ Nick Drake turned to friend and colleague Julian Lloyd for his first professional photo session. Julian had previously photographed Nick beside the sea near Harlech, these being early snaps, but this later session was a more professional affair.

Locations ranged from London’s Stokenchurch Street and Julian’s family house in Selborne, Hampshire where the famous blanket shots were taken. The blanket is still in Julian’s possession and it’s pattern forms the endpapers of the new book ‘Nick Drake – Remembered For A While’ (Published by John Murray 2014)
